A downloadable game for Windows
Those pesky squirrels are throwing away their entire acorn stash! Quick! Grab your basket and catch every falling acorn before they hit the ground so you can make some yummy snacks! Beware, though, those naughty squirrels like to throw rocks too.
Acorns is an NES-styled shout-out to the classic Windows game "Walnuts" that was released back in 1994 by Brian C. Lowe and Eric Lee Steadle.
GOAL:
Catch all of the falling acorns with your basket and avoid rocks. Keep an eye out for apples and diamonds that offer bonus points.

- Ability to turn fullscreen, crt, vsync, sound, and music on or off.
CONTROLS:
- Use the mouse to control the basket.
- Left-click during gameplay to pause the game.
ITEMS:
- 10 Points.
- 25 Points.
- 100 points (spawns every 25 acorns as long as you don't lose a life).
- Extra life.
- Will destroy your basket. Avoid at all costs.

No install required. Just place the application file where you want and then double-click it to run.
You may experience conflicts with anti-virus and firewall software. If this is the case, just temporarily disable them or add the application file to their exception list.

It was a remaster of the first game I ever tried to make back when I was 14 years old. I used to own a game called "Walnuts" for Windows 3.1, and as a young lad just trying to figure out how game development worked, I chose to make a game similar to Walnuts as my first project. Fast forward to now, and I finally decided that I wanted to try remaking that first game I made so many years ago, and see how it would be with all of the skills I have learned since then.
